The Boston Red Sox sign Aaron Cook
The Red Sox have signed 32-year old righty starting pitcher Aaron Cook to a minor league deal. Cook pitched in 18 games (17 starts) for the Rockies last year and he was 3-10 with a 6.03 ERA and a 1.69 WHIP. He has now pitched in 238 games (206 starts) in his first 10 years in the majors and he is 72-68 with a 4.53 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP. Cook will have a good shot at winning the #5 starter spot in the Red Sox’ 2012 rotation this spring.
