The Red Sox need a starting catcher and some bullpen help from the right side. The Sox may need to go the trade route for a catcher as only Ivan Rodriguez and Jason Varitek are available in free agency that are starting caliber and they will both be overpriced. Look for the Red Sox to leave no stone unturned when looking for right handed bullpen help. Juan Cruz will probably be a name to keep an eye on for the Red Sox as he has nasty stuff. The Red Sox might also look at rehabbing pitchers that might come at a discount like John Smoltz, Jason Isringhausen and Chad Cordero. They need at least two decent righty relievers to add to the bullpen and they have the money to make it happen.
