The Boston Red Sox designate Marcus McBeth for assignment

The Red Sox needed a roster space so they made one by designating Marcus McBeth for assignment. They are hoping to keep him as he pitched well in AAA for them since coming over from the Reds. McBeth pitched in 4 games in AAA for the Red Sox and he was 1-0 with a 2.57 ERA and a 0.57 WHIP.
